Value Added Tax (VAT): Holders of an Israeli passport must pay VAT according to the law, including holders of a passport with dual citizenship. Only tourists with a B2 or B3 visa are exempt from VAT.

Important: The visa approval must be presented at the rental station for VAT to be waived.

Airport Fee: A one-time fee of $39.00 is charged for picking up or returning the vehicle at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and Eilat Ramon International Airport.

One-Way Rentals: FREE at all locations, except for one-way rentals to/from Eilat (Eilat City & Eilat Ramon Airport) as follows: 1-2 day rental car: $200.00; 3 days and more: FREE

Collision Damage Waiver & Theft Protection (CDW/LDW)

covers damage to the vehicle, except for the minimum deductible costs, which vary depending on the vehicle group.

Theft Protection (THW) protects in the event of theft of the rental vehicle, except for the minimum deductible costs, which vary depending on the vehicle group.

Deductible Costs ranging from $500.00 to $1,000.00 are charged in case of damage or theft depending on the vehicle type. CDW/LDW does not cover damages to tires, windshields, the roof, and the underbody of the vehicle, which are charged accordingly.

Super CDW/LDW is optional and reduces the renter's liability to zero in case of damage to the vehicle. Can only be purchased together with CDW/LDW & THW. SCDW does not cover damages to tires, the windshield, and the roof.

Super TP (Theft Protection) is optional and reduces the renter's liability to zero in case of theft of the rental vehicle. Can only be purchased together with CDW/LDW & TP.

Liability Insurance (LIA) - Mandatory for customers who decline CDW/LDW & TP, provided they are covered by the credit card company. CDW/LDW & TP can only be declined if the renter has sufficient insurance coverage through a US World MasterCard or a Canadian Gold/Platinum Visa/MasterCard or Visa Premier.

The Insurance must be confirmed in writing by the credit card company to verify that valid damage and theft protection for rental cars in Israel applies. The maximum security guarantee is up to the full value of the vehicle when CDW/LDW & TP (damage and theft protection) are declined. Valid for rental cars with a maximum duration of 28 consecutive days.

Delivery & Pickup is available upon request and requires confirmation.

Up to 15 km from the pickup location: $15.00

Up to 30 km from the pickup location: $25.00

Up to 50 km and more from the pickup location: $40.00

Vehicle Models are for reference only; similar models may be provided.

Minimum Rental Fee per Rental Day is 24 hours.

Late Returns Returns after 1 hour or more will be charged at 1/3 of the daily rate. Returns after 3 hours or more will be considered an additional day.

Deposit for the Rental: Based on the estimated rental costs for the entire rental period + $600.00 - $1,500.00 (depending on the vehicle group) for additional fees such as late vehicle return, fuel, damages, toll fees, etc.

Use of the Vehicle is the full responsibility of the renter, as specified in the rental agreement. Any additional driver must also be registered in the rental agreement.

Exceeding and leaving Israeli borders with the rental vehicle is strictly prohibited, including Palestinian territories.

Fuel: Delivered with a full tank and it is recommended to also return the vehicle with a full tank. An additional refueling fee of 40% will be charged for vehicles returned with missing fuel.

Early Return of the Vehicle before the original return date will be charged according to the corresponding rental rate (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).

Parking Tickets, Traffic Violations & Toll Roads: An additional service fee of 50.00 ILS will be charged for unpaid tickets, traffic violations, and toll road fees.

The customer is aware that traveling on toll roads (such as: Highway 6, the Carmel Tunnels, and the highway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv) is charged according to the "Occasional Rate" and/or the normal rate for a non-subscriber user, in addition to the above-mentioned service fee charged for each billing date.

Free Sell applies to the following vehicle groups: B(EBMR), Q(EBAR), C(ECAR), D(CCAR), E(CDAR, F(IDAR), I(SDAR), IW(CWAR), H(FDAR), M(PDAR). All other vehicle groups require specific confirmation.

No Show & Cancellations: A fee of $110.00 (€95.00) will be charged for no-shows. Cancellations must be made 24 hours before pickup time. Cancellations for 7-8-9-seater vehicles must be made 48 hours before pickup.

Minimum Rental Age & Requirements: A valid local driver's license is sufficient, along with the renter's passport, which must be presented at the pickup location. The minimum age of the driver is 18 years, depending on the vehicle group and the requirements as indicated below:

An international driver's license is not required as long as the local driver's license is displayed with Latin characters.

Groups B(MBMR), Q(MBAR), C(EBAR), D(ECAR), E(EDAR): Minimum age required is 18 (additional fee applies) + driver's license that is valid for at least one year.

Groups F(EZAR), KX(DDAR), I(CCAR), IW(CWAR), H(CDAR), M(SDAR), MH(RDAR), J(SFBR), JE(IGAE), T(CPMR), G(IVMR), U(IVAR), V(SVAR): Minimum age required is 21 (additional fee applies) + driver's license that is valid for at least one year.

Groups K(PDAR), R(SCAR), O(LFBR), V8(FVAR), Y(FVMR), Z(LVAR): Minimum age is 25 + driver's license that is valid for at least one year.

Groups P(LDAR), W(LCBR): Minimum age required is 28 + driver's license that is valid for at least five years.

Young Driver: An additional fee of $12.00 per day (applies to drivers aged 18-23).

Additional Driver: $6.00 per day.

CSI Child Seat for Toddlers: $6.00 per day (0-12 months).

CSB Child Seat for Babies: $6.00 per day (1-3 years).

CST Child Seat for Toddlers: $6.00 per day (4-7 years).

CBS Child Seat for Children: $6.00 per day (8 years and older).

Smartphone - Navigation System/GPS: $15.00 per day - Includes free smartphone, unlimited local & international calls

About Traffic Rules in Israel

• The local driving population is quite temperamental and impatient. To avoid accidents, you should yield and follow traffic rules.

• All passengers must wear seat belts without exception.

• For children under 8 years old or depending on the child's height, a child seat or booster seat must always be used. The penalty for carrying a child without a child seat is very high.

• The maximum allowed speed in the city is 50-60 km/h, on country roads 90-100 km/h, on highways 100 km/h, and on some sections, 110 km/h is allowed.

• Some rules may differ from those you are used to in your country. Pay attention to traffic signs placed correctly to aid understanding.

If the Police in Israel Stop You

• The Israeli police do not accept bribes. If you offer a bribe to a police officer, they may arrest you on the spot and impose a hefty fine.
At the same time, the Israeli police are quite lenient toward tourists. If you behave calmly, smile, and are friendly, you are most likely to be let off on the spot. This applies if you caused a minor traffic incident that did not result in personal injury or property damage.

• If you receive a fine from a police officer, you must pay it immediately. An unpaid fine starts to accumulate interest after 3 months. This will be recorded in the computer system, and during your next visit to Israel, the fine will be enforced with interest.

• Driving under the influence of alcohol is a very serious offense in Israel. Please note that the Israeli police often set up checkpoints near entertainment centers, clubs, and restaurants to check every driver.
According to the latest laws, it is completely forbidden to consume alcohol while driving, even beer or light wine.

• If an accident involving a tourist driver leads to a court case (e.g., a fatal accident), you will be required to attend court. Hiding is not an option, as the accident information is immediately entered into the computer database, and you can be stopped at the border, airport, or any national border.

Parking in Israel

In major cities like Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, finding a parking spot, especially a free one, is very difficult. Parking fees can range between $5 and $20 per day. If you park in a pay-by-hour zone, payment is made with coins at the machine.

Parking rules in Israel depend on the curb color:
- Red and white curb - Parking is prohibited.
- Red and yellow curb - Bus stop; picking up or dropping off passengers is allowed.
- Blue and white curb - Parking is paid (usually a parking meter should be nearby).
To purchase a parking ticket, place it visibly under the windshield. Often, parking conditions in this zone vary by city. In some cities, this zone becomes free after 7:00 PM, but these details must be checked on signs.
- Unpainted curb (gray) - Parking is allowed (if no prohibition sign is present).
- Disabled parking spots in Israel are marked with a blue square featuring a white wheelchair symbol on the asphalt. Violating this rule will result in your vehicle being towed immediately, and you will incur a very high fine.
